Green Tuesdays - 19th May

— Dot

A very wet day, however, the small gardening group continues on with the plan to replant the wildflower area in the old section. Well done to Fiona and the group of hardy gardeners. The trolley that we use to bring our gardening tools to different areas, which collapsed (we do load it up at times), was repaired by John and Mick. Thank you for keeping us moving, lads.

On Sunday, the Darlington Building Society is holding a remembrance walk for us at 10 am, heading to Saltburn. We will be there to see them off, and hope the weather is not too hot. Thank you to them for their continuing support with the book and jigsaw sale. Lots of different books at 50p and Jigsaws £2. Please support if you can.

We are having a plant sale at the cemetery, selling indoor and garden plants at very reasonable prices. There will be plants for shade, perennials, bulbs and potted flowers. Also, pots (some terracotta), seeds, stakes, vases, and sundries. Tuesday 9th June 10.30-12. Would you please forward this message to your contacts, as quite a few people missed it last time. Look for us; we will be there. Depending on the situation in the cemetery, we may be on the old lane.

All money raised will go to the gardening group to support their work.
